CONDITION OF SALE OR SERVICE
EVS Motors is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and high-quality repairs. We are proud to be an authorized Tesla Collision Center and have consistently earned high marks for both repair turnaround times and overall customer satisfaction. To ensure a smooth and informed repair process, we ask that all clients review and acknowledge the following important details:
Customer Responsibilities
EVS Motors is an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Certified Tesla Collision Center and is required to use only Tesla OEM parts in all repairs. In some cases, insurance companies may limit their coverage to used or aftermarket parts, and may not fully cover the cost of the required OEM parts. Similarly, some insurance policies may not cover specific procedures or labor rates. We believe it is essential for your vehicle to be repaired to its pre-accident condition with parts that will not void warranties or cause long-term issues.
If your insurance adjuster is initially resistant to approving OEM parts, procedures, or rates, we encourage you to speak with them directly, as they may be able to adjust their coverage. However, please note that if the insurance company refuses to cover the difference, you, the client, will be responsible for paying the additional cost once repairs begin. We do our best to avoid this scenario but want you to be fully informed.
For cash-paying clients, please be aware that unforeseen repairs may arise during the course of the repair process. Additional costs and extended timelines may be necessary if further damage is discovered. Should this occur, we will immediately inform you and discuss the best course of action.
Completion Dates
Due to the nature of collision repairs, we are unable to guarantee exact completion dates. Many factors, including parts availability, shipping delays, insurance processes, lot volume, and potential unforeseen additional repairs, can affect repair timelines. Rest assured, we aim to complete all repairs in a timely manner, but it is important to understand that these variables may influence the time required to complete your vehicle’s repair. Additionally, please keep in mind that holiday schedules may also impact repair timelines.
Status Updates
We provide regular updates on the status of your vehicle’s repair every Tuesday and Friday via email. We exclusively use email for communication to ensure that all information is documented and readily accessible. As we may not always be available to take calls, email serves as the most efficient and reliable method for delivering updates.
Rental Vehicles
Please note that EVS Motors is not responsible for the cost of rental vehicles. Insurance companies often impose limits on rental coverage, and these may not fully cover the duration of repairs. If your rental period exceeds the allotted time, the client will be responsible for any additional charges. This responsibility also extends to ride-sharing services (e.g., Uber) for transportation during the repair process.
If repairs extend beyond the original estimated completion date, we are not liable for any additional rental charges that may arise. For insurance-provided rental vehicles, we are happy to communicate with your insurance company to request an extension if necessary.
Quality & Warranty
We strive to provide the highest-quality repairs. In the event that additional attention is needed after the vehicle is returned to the client, we will address any workmanship issues. However, please be aware that some factory parts (especially Tesla parts) may not be perfect replicas of the originals. Panel gaps, for example, may not always align perfectly, but we will make every effort to adjust panels to an acceptable standard.
Payments & Insurance Checks
Once repairs begin, insurance checks will be sent directly to EVS Motors. If the insurance check is made payable to you (the client), you may deposit it; however, the funds will then need to be forwarded to EVS Motors to cover the repair costs. In some cases, the client will need to use these funds to cover part orders initially. If applicable, we will provide a payment link via email for remote payments. Any remaining balances, including deductibles, will be due upon vehicle pickup.
Completion of Repairs
Once repair work begins, we make every effort to complete your vehicle's repair as quickly and efficiently as possible. Please be aware that your vehicle must remain on our premises until repairs are fully completed. No exceptions.
Tesla Key Card
In order to begin repairs, we require that the vehicle be accompanied by its Tesla key, key fob, or key card. Please ensure that the necessary key is available upon arrival, as repairs cannot commence without it.
Total Loss
Due to increasing repair and parts costs, some vehicles may be declared a total loss by the insurance company, even if they are still functional. The determination of total loss is based on a comparison of repair costs to the vehicle's current market value. The age, mileage, and overall condition of the vehicle are critical factors. This decision is ultimately at the discretion of the insurance company, and EVS Motors has no control over this determination.
Good Faith Policy
EVS Motors operates with integrity and transparency. We will not entertain requests for fraudulent or unethical actions regarding insurance claims. We take pride in our commitment to honesty and ethical business practices, and we expect the same from our clients.
Lot Storage
For vehicles determined to be a total loss, preservation fees, along with administrative and procedural charges, may apply. Insurance typically covers these fees; however, if the insurance does not cover the full amount, the client will be responsible for the difference.
For cash-paying clients, storage fees are generally not charged unless the vehicle is being stored beyond the necessary repair time due to negligence or abuse of the storage lot. In such cases, clients will be notified via email, and storage fees will be assessed.
Blending Panels
To ensure the best possible color match, it may be necessary to blend paint into adjacent panels. This process may involve painting areas not directly damaged in the accident but located next to the damaged area. Please be aware that this may increase both the time and cost of the repair.
Personal Items
EVS Motors accepts no responsibility for personal items left in the car such as money, phones, electronics, and more.
Test Driving
Please acknowledge EVS Motors employees will need to test drive your vehicle if required for repair and inspection purposes.
